• Stirling Triathlon

The 2019 format Stirling Triathlon will be a fun, participant & spectator friendly event set in the grounds of the University of Stirling, with stunning backdrops such as the Wallace Monument and the Ochil Hills.

There are three different adult events (from ages 15 and up (ages 15, 16 & 17 must have parental consent)) suitable for all abilities and all levels of fitness, from complete novice to club and elite triathletes, as well as charity and fun competitors. The grounds of the University of Stirling is currently undergoing a massive redevelopment which has resulted in the previous years’ format of the Stirling Triathlon being revised.

The 2019 format will contain 3 awarding categories:
    – Single Triathlon (swim/bike/run)
    – Double Triathlon (swim/bike/run swim/bike/run)
    – Relay Triathlon (swim/bike/run swim/bike/run)
The swim will be 300m (6 lengths of the 50m pool).
The bike will be a 14km draft illegal loop which is suitable for road, mountain and time trial bikes and will be on open roads.
The run will be a 2.5km single loop around Airthrey Loch.
For those doing the double and the relay, there will be an interval between the 1st and the 2nd of the swim/bike/run’s. Relay teams can be of 2 or 3 members each taking a stint of the disciplines to suit their strengths and can switch disciplines for the 2nd swim/bike/run.
For example the swimmer in the 1st swim/bike/run, can be the runner in the 2nd swim/bike/run.

British Triathlon Federation rules and regulations apply (with further information available in the BTF Rule Book) and details of each race, including eligibility, start times and distances can be found below.
