• Stirling Triathlon & Stirling Aquabike

Future Dates TBA Stirling Triathlon and Stirling Aquabike.

The Stirling Triathlon is a fun, participant & spectator friendly event set in the grounds of the University of Stirling, with stunning backdrops such as the Wallace Monument and the Ochil Hills.

    Stirling Triathlon:
There are three different adult Triathlon events (from ages 15 and up (ages 15, 16 & 17 must have parental consent)) suitable for all abilities and all levels of fitness, from complete novice to club and elite triathletes, as well as charity and fun competitors.

The Stirling Triathlon format contains 3 awarding categories:
    – Single Triathlon (swim/bike/run)
    – Double Triathlon (swim/bike/run swim/bike/run)
    – Relay Triathlon (swim/bike/run swim/bike/run)
The swim will be 300m (6 lengths of the 50m pool).
The bike will be a 14km draft illegal loop which is suitable for road, mountain and time trial bikes and will be on open roads.
The run will be a 2.5km single loop around Airthrey Loch.
For those doing the double and the relay, there will be an interval between the 1st and the 2nd of the swim/bike/run’s. Relay teams can be of 2 or 3 members each taking a stint of the disciplines to suit their strengths and can switch disciplines for the 2nd swim/bike/run.
For example the swimmer in the 1st swim/bike/run, can be the runner in the 2nd swim/bike/run.
Under BTF rule 23.3,a, TriStar 2 (Ages 11-12 [as of 31st December]) can compete within the Relay Triathlon taking on either the swim(300m) or run(2500m) leg within a relay team.

For those doing the double, there will be an interval between the 1st and the 2nd of the swim/bike’s.

    Junior Race

Sadly we are unable to host a junior category race this year due to construction redevelopment works taking place at Stirling University.
We just could not deliver a safe and enjoyable event with an enclosed run route and a closed road bike route.
    However…………..
Under BTF rule 23.3,a, TriStar 2 (Ages 11-12 [as of 31st December 2020]) can compete within the Relay Triathlon taking on either the swim(300m) or run(2500m) leg within a relay team
