The Junior Aquathlon is open to competitors aged from 8 to 16 (based on competitor’s age at end of this year) inclusive. When entering, please select the correct event for the competing age group.
The course will encounter a road crossing after leaving the pool hall and via a zebra crossing which will be heavily marshalled for safety. To increase safety and add fairness to all taking part, a “Time Neutral” zone will be introduced between the post swim timing mat and the T1 entry timing mat. It will not be permitted for athletes to use this zone for anything other than to safely negotiate the road crossing.

Triathlon age groups are based on age at end of the year. For example, if your 11th birthday is coming up this November then you’ll race in the 11-12 age group, even though you’ll only be 10 on the day of the race. This ensures that you race against the same people all year through.
