We will again be running a kids duathlon event for ages 8 to 16. The course is appropriate for mountain bikes and road bikes – all traffic free!

Duathlon age groups are based on age at end of the year (e.g. if your 11th birthday is coming up this November then you’ll race in the 11-12 age group, even though you’ll only be 10 on the day of the race). This ensures that you race against the same people all year.

Your licence number will be asked for during the entry process and licences will need to be presented at Registration on the day, however you can chose the non-affiliated entry option and pay a small increase to cover insurance on the day.

    Race Timetable

Registration opens at 7am for the adults and 11am for the juniors.

In an attempt to improve the safety and enjoyment of the event, we have swapped the junior and adult races around, this now gets the adults underway earlier in the morning when the roads are quieter and the juniors start when the temperatures have had a chance to rise, however due to the time of year and un-predicted weather, there may need to be adjustments to the timings on the day.

    Additional Information:

Car Parking: There is ample Car Parking, marshals will be present to direct you to the most convenient car-parks. Please note that for those arriving for the junior event, it is likely that you will share the roads (albeit in opposite directions) with athletes on the later part of the cycle leg and approaching Transition 2.

Changing: Available in the Gannochy Building (bring a £1 coin for the lockers).

First Aid: Provided by Prometheus Alphamed.

Catering: Courtesy of Baxter Storey, provisions include; outdoor mobile catering unit situated next to Registration, indoor University Sports Café and numerous vending machines.
